Didja Know?
- Director/writer Dwight Keating and his special effects team had to invent an entire new visual language to bring reality to the film's elaborate space battles and used computer-controlled camera which were maneuvered around models to record each shot. Those of you touching yourselves as you read this are precisely the audience for which these effects were created.
- The last shot of the film of Jimmy Starbait receiving an honorary wheel of Emmentale is an homage to the famous Swiss documentary Our Cheese Is Tastier Than Yours (1934).
- This was re-released in 1997 with enhanced footage of director Keating building a vault big enough to hold all of his profits.
- This was referenced in Please Rewind, Then Die (1998).
